If there is one place I can’t wait to return to it is India! It has captured my heart once and I am sure it will do it again. So many lost girls such in human trafficking and that all they know for most of their life is that they are only worth as much as someone will pay for them. It rips your heart out. Sitting in the brothels with these girls just hanging out with them watching them apply all the make-up in the world, and doing everything they can to make their skin lighter. And all you want to do is tell them stop you are beautiful the way God made you. One girl asking for prayer because business isn’t doing well, when you know they really need prayer for safety. Having to leave and knowing what you are leaving them to do makes you sob. However these girls are gems they are bright. And somehow only by God they are so vibrant sometimes. There is hope here called sunshine to provide them safety and knowledge. They have all bewitched me and pull my heart to them to know and love them the way Christ has called us to. To not stand aside while this happens but to find a better way for these girls to live! This was one of the saddest days but also one of the brightest to show hope that this can be stopped.

I still feel like this can not be real. Sometimes I even catch myself wondering if i'm crazy for doing this. But then I think of all the faces and stories I will meet and the impact we can have on thier lives and I get butterflies! 11 months and 11 countries! Leaving everything "normal" behind and giving it to God and living for his people and with his people! I will be blogging as much as I can leading up to when I leave and will continue to blog durring my trip so everyone can be apart of it. Can't wait to write more!
